面對這樣的思想控制與一連串的作為，
大多數的人們選擇安於表層的和平與秩序繼續生活，
仍保有強烈自我意識的的Ishmael逐漸產生了反動的念頭。』

設計主題是由《1984》這部經典小說為核心理念，運用大圖像的方式去呈現整體概念。

此系列將Ishmael的身份標籤納入了產品細節中，除了增加整體的完整度外，品牌團隊也希望將這樣的主題視覺帶入成為獨特的使用體驗。

Vicarius Filii Dei’s 2019 Spring/Summer catalogue is inspired by a modern world of supervision and control.

Totalitarianism government – VRFD, use safety reason as a precaution, exploiting the way information is spread on the internet, by throttling and controlling the dissemination of information with the aid of algorithms to limit who can see what.

We are observed, we are watched, because we are all surrounded by possible threats, we are all radicals waiting to be sparked into action.

Our protagonist, Ishmael, is one such individual. He, like us, has lost his privacy and anonymity, he has lost his right to freely explore and search for information that he desires.

The world is becoming smaller as we all fall under the puppeteer’s hands.

When faced with the bombardment of thought control methods and curated ignorance, the majority will settle knowing that our collective sacrifice in personal freedoms is for the safety of the group and for order on a global scale. Still, some of us like Ishmael have not lost our sense of personality, of identity. Some of us, like Ishmael still want to make a stand.
